Our story

Emily has been playing in the dirt for over 14 years. Her three kids were always included in the gardening fun; the youngest got his start supervising from his stroller. Each year saw a new experiment or a garden expansion, with many lessons learned along the way.

Over the years, she found many permaculture and organic gardening resources from which she gleaned tips and gained inspiration. These include low-till, drip irrigation, soil building, mechanical weed control, and OMRI listed and certified pest management.

In 2021, she decided to take her need to be outdoors and watch plants grow, along with the lessons and principles accumulated over the years and meld it all into an earnest endeavor. After consulting with her daughter, the operation was dubbed Veggie Charm Gardens.

Emily and her children began selling exclusively at the 2022 Coweta County Farmers Market and have recently added an online store. As Veggie Charm Gardens grows, they look forward to offering greater variety with each passing season.

Meet the farmer

Hey! Emily here. While I spearhead our market garden, it’s only possible with my kids as motivation, my parents as support and help, and good friends cheering me on.
